NSP National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Scheme 2021-22 is an initiative for students of Class 9 who have secured at least 55% marks or equivalent grades in the Class 8 examination. The scholarship aims at providing financial assistance to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections to arrest their dropout at Class 8 and encourage them to continue studies at the secondary stage.
The scholarship is open for Class 9 students who have secured at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade in the Class 8 examination (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST students) or at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade in Class 7 examination to appear for the selection test for the award of scholarship (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST). The annual family income of the candidates must not be less than INR 1.50 lakh from all sources.
Prizes & Rewards: Rs.12,000 per annum
General Eligibility Conditions
An awardee is eligible for the scholarship provided he/she:
i. takes up studies in approved courses.
ii. maintains good conduct as certified by the Head of the College/Institution and continues his/her studies as a regular student in a Government/Government-aided /Local Body school.
iii. does not absent himself/herself without proper leave.
iv. takes up studies on a whole time basis.
v. does not take up any job.
